Biography

Dev Ittycheria is Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of MongoDB and a member of its Board of Directors. He previously served as MongoDB’s President and CEO for more than 11 years, overseeing exceptional growth and establishing MongoDB as the intelligent data platform for the AI era.

Dev brings more than three decades of experience as a founder, operator, and investor in high-growth software companies. He is also a Partner and Senior Advisor at Sequoia Capital and serves as the Lead Independent Director of Datadog. Previously, he was a Managing Director at OpenView Venture Partners and a Venture Partner at Greylock Partners.

Dev co-founded BladeLogic and served as its CEO, taking the company public in 2007 before BMC Software acquired it. He subsequently served as President of BMC. Since founding his first technology company in 1998, Dev has held leadership and board roles at companies that have completed five IPOs and many meaningful acquisitions.

Dev holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, where he received the Medal of Excellence and was named the School of Engineering’s 2010 Alumnus of the Year.
