Biography

Dev Ittycheria has over two decades of experience as an entrepreneur, investor, and leader in high-growth software companies. He served as President & CEO of MongoDB from 2014 to 2025, leading its 2017 IPO and transforming it into a global software leader with $2.5 billion in revenue and 60,000 customers. Dev currently serves as Lead Independent Director of Datadog and previously led the company’s Series B financing as a venture investor. Earlier in his career, he was Managing Director at OpenView Venture Partners, Venture Partner at Greylock Partners, and Co-founder & CEO of BladeLogic, which went public in 2007 and was later acquired by BMC for nearly $1 billion, where he later served as President. Over his career, Dev has founded or led companies through five IPOs and three major acquisitions. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, where he received the Medal of Excellence and was named the School of Engineering’s Alumnus of the Year.
